Differences?!

I watched Ben Stein's "Expelled", again. I noticed several of the atheists interviewed were cruel & insulting, calling believers stupid, ignorant &, "possibly", wicked. What's the purpose in being insulting? I care about their eternity, if they're wrong. Is that stupid? I thought being insulting or cruel was for the uneducated. At least I care about them.

Being Human

God's loved us since time began. He's done so much for me, and I continue to make the distance betw. us greater. I get so sick of being human sometimes. I'm so #*%@'d weak. I was actually dissapointed when I read that the Mayans probably weren't predicting the world's end. I was hoping they were right, & our family could all go together. We'd stop being so irresponsible w/ this planet He blessed us w/, too.
Well, I'll just have to keep trying & be patient.

High Recommendation

I've been deeply saddened by the direction our country/world seems headed. I read, again, that a man had been arrested for molesting a child. This, among other things, just sickens me. Justify it any way it can be justified. But, WRONG is WRONG! Bad childhood, drugs, alcohol, whatever, competent adults have the ability to make choices. I know I'm wrong. But, I pity the person who EVER lays a hand on my child, should we ever have one. I'd be tried, not the offender. They'd never see the inside of a court room for some judge to do their defense attny a favor.
I was part of a small grp in church that began watching "The Truth Project". For whatever reason, they stopped w/ the series. So, I quit the group & received the disc set as a gift. I highly recommend this study of God's blueprint for life. It seeks to help us gain a deeper relationship w/ our Creator. Folks may not like some of it, and it is fairly long, 8 discs. But, stick w/ it. We're walked thru what has gone wrong...and pay attention. The gentleman uses the ACTUAL Constitution, the ORIGINAL Webster's Dictionary & other original documents to guide us thru our pitfalls as a people. Make a decision when the set is finished (Go to TheTruthProject.org & Focus on the Family). It has been an in depth, wonderful study. I doubt there will be much regret.

Stayin' warm in 2012....

Heating oil has reached a level that we can't afford. I'm too expensive for the large deliveries, especially at nearly $4/gallon. There's a minimum 100 gal order. I can't find a legit on-line bus. to help w/ finances. So, we're looking into larger indoor units for next yr.. Being on Interferon makes being cold a real booger. It starts from the bone and works its way out, somewhat like the opposite of a hot flash, and takes forever to warm up (I can't stand A/C any more, except in SC). We're praying for good ideas, or someone who has a good idea. I am working on small purchases every wk or so, 5 gal.. But, even that's digging into our budget. $20 for 5 gal.?!! We're gonna go broke just trying to stay warm.
Well, we have faith, and their are folks who have it a whole lot worse. Like I said at Thanksgiving, "Thank You for this life and all its gifts, Father".

Atheism, Agnosticism, Fighting Faith

I've been thinking (and it makes my head hurt). Many folks just will not accept faith. They argue & expend much energy in fighting a belief in God. This is really quite sad. If you think about it, what they're fighting against is Love.
