Fear vs Faith

My wife has been handling the arrangements for us to become foster parents. It's getting closer & closer to a reality. Well, I've been focused on me & this disease. When she 1st brought up the idea I was against it due to my poor balance & weaknesses. At the same time, I felt selfish for being the reason her desire to be a mother may not ever actually happen.
With the possibility becoming closer to a reality, I've been balking. I've been praying, but the wrong way. I've been talking to God about why I didn't think I was a safe bet for a child. It's weird that it never occurred to me to talk to Him about overcoming my fear.
Well, I admitted my fear to my wife last night, & her response brought me to tears. She said she knew. Then she came over to me, got down on one knee, grabbed my hands & said, "We're a team".
Obviously, God spoke thru her at that moment. I've been almost at ease about the situation since. It's just amazing how my Lord can be so gentle, yet powerful in the same three words. And HE loves ME!! WOW!!
